The need
The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) is a federal executive branch agency that Congress created in 1997 to perform the offender supervision function for the District of Columbia, working with the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the U.S. Parole Commission. Its mission is to increase public safety, prevent crime, reduce recidivism and support the fair administration of justice.
The statement of work asks for one platform that breaks down data silos: it brings the agency's case-management data together with outside law-enforcement feeds in near real time, so officers and managers have current facts when conditions change.
